Jason is an award-winning director of photography based in the NY Metro Area and is available to hire on commercials, corporate, and narrative projects.

A little background...

Born and raised in the small, sunny city-state of Singapore, even though Jason always had a camera in hand with its viewfinder pushed up to his eye, he never imagined he would one day work in the film industry. His abiding interest in audiovisual media drove him to pursue a BA in Film Studies at the University of Warwick in the UK where he graduated at the top of his class.

Out of college, he was hired as an in-house PA at the Paul Weiland Film Co. in London where he was first exposed to commercial production. His strong work ethic saw him getting promoted to Asst. Production Manager soon after, at which time he also completed the APA Masterclass in Commercial Production. 

It was while on set that he rediscovered his true passion for cinematography and lighting, and committed himself towards the goal of becoming a director of photography. Jason started working up through the ranks of technical crew in London, Singapore, and eventually the US when he moved over here in 2017 with his wife. During this time, he honed his technical knowledge and creative eye for cinematography, shooting and often self-producing commercials, corporate content, and narrative projects of his own. Since then, he has shot for brands including The Food Network, Verizon, Poland Spring, Zales, Cath Kidston, and Crocs.
